January Ipsy subscription Box review is something I always look forward to each month. I am so so excited to be talking about IPSY. Who doesn’t know about the monthly beauty subscription box Ipsy. My introduction to beauty brands was through beauty box subscriptions like Ipsy. So, I highly recommend if you are looking to dive into beauty and don’t know where to start then subscribe to Ipsy.

How it works:

You can subscribe two ways:
$12 a month- you get 5 deluxe samples +Glam Bag (value $50)
Or
$24 a month- you get 5 full size products +Glam Bag Plus (value $125)

This months Ipsy box I have to say is my favorite! I’ve been using most of the products since I received them. I love the theme of this month which is to Dream It!

This months Ipsy box did not disappoint at all. I am loving the makeup portion of it.

What I receivedt:

Makeup

Cover|FX shimmer veil in the color celestial (Glistening Pearl shimmer). I absolutely love this and have been wearing it daily. Yes, i want to wear glitter every day what 2021 has taught me is savior every moment and live to the fullest. So I’m wearing shimmer everyday. I love this eye shimmer because of how it settles in through out the day it gets softer and looks really elegant and not in your face shimmer (you know what i mean).

Stila stay all day lipstick in the color Patina (Dusty Rose). This is such a lovely color and so wearable. It is a liquid and very pigmented. I love stila lipsticks they are very comfortable on the lips and wear nicely throughout the day.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Brag Volumizing mascara. I have to admit I am not a mascara wearer but this mascara has changed my mind. I have so many mascaras from top brands like benefit, Marc jacobs, Bobbie brown, YSL, Chanel just to name a few. I love this mascara because it does what it say volumize the lashes while giving them a natural look without looking clumpy and spidery.

Tools

Laruce Kabuki brush: Ipsy always include some sort of make brush tools in their boxes so its nice to get to try different make brush brands. This feels really nice and soft. I can see myself using it as a concealer brush.

Skincare

This is the skincare Received in the January Ipsy box review

Florence by mills: Mind Glowing Peel off mask, is a new brand I’ve never heard of but its very popular with the younger generation. It’s created by the Stranger Things actress Lily Bobby Brown. Its a clean brand. I received the mind glowing peel off mask. Honestly, I wouldn’t go out and purchase a celebrity skincare line (maybe makeup). I did check out the ingredients list on line and it had a good rating. I did try it and I have to say it is the best peel off mask I’ve tried. It’s a very pretty mask but it works and made my skin really smooth afterwards. It doesn’t remove blackheads if that’s what your looking for. It’s a very gentle peel off mask and it really comes off easily.

Florence by mills face mask I received in the January Ipsy box review

Byroe New York salmon cream. I’ve seen this brand reviewed on Instagram and it really appealed to me. I don’t know much about this brand except all of their products are food based like a Tomato serum, Bell pepper serum and this Salmon cream I received. It’s an antioxidant cream which is packed with protein rich salmon egg extract. Sounds wonderful and their products are not cheap this cream retails for $120 for 1.69/50g. I recieved a delux sample of courses. I did try the cream it has a light velvety feel but it does have a strong scent to it which puts me off.

Purlisse Blue Lotus balancing moisturizer. Never tried anything from Purlisse but this sounds like a promising product. This product works to hydrate and prime the skin.

Kinship Naked Papaya Cleanser. This is my first time trying anything from Kinship and I am not loving this cleanser. It’s nothing special in my opinion. It has a cream consistency and smells fruity. I didn’t see any brightening from the papaya enzyme but it didn’t dry up my skin so that’s a plus.

Youth To The People Kombucha 11% AHA Exfoliating Power Toner. This is a very popular toner and i did have the chance to try it. I found it to be a strong AHA toner. It has Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Black tea and tree bark. The one thing i disliked about this toner is it leaves a sticky residue on my skin after i use it and it is kind of annoying to be honest. I will give it another try and see.

Haircare

IGK Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm. This is a leave in conditioner that wont weigh down your hair. I have to say this product impressed me. It has a gel/primer texture to it and a really nice subtle coconut scent. I have fine hair and it really did a good job of hydrating my hair without weighing it down.

Lifestyle

The ceramic water/tea/coffee bottle with a bamboo cap. Such a good quality bottle that would come in handy to use when I’m out and about. 2021 calendar organizer which I’m really excited to start using.

One of my goals of 2021 is to start using a journal. I am that type that just stores things in my head and believes that I can remember things when I need them. Which I found out is a misconception with kids home 24/7 and trying to juggle everything while trying to stay sane is hard! So, this Ipsy journal/calendar book has come just in time. I’m hoping this will become part of my daily routine.

I hope you enjoyed my January Ipsy box review. I want to thank Ipsy for letting me be part of their Open Studio Memeber community.
