Best body cream!

If you’re looking for a moisturizer/exfoliator for you’re body, look no further! This is such an amazing and instant result product. I actually found out about this through a tv commercial a year ago and the reason it caught my attention was, it was advertised for people with “rough and bumpy skin.” This condition actually has a medical term which is called keratosis pilaris (those pesky little bumps that some get on the arms, thighs and buttocks that look like goosebumps but they don’t go away) they are just not pretty. I have struggled for years with this (on my arms) and when I learned about this product I went and purchased it right away. Now, I did not have high hopes to be honest because I have tried similar products that did not work out for me, like the Alpha renewal body lotion and Paula’sChoice skin revealing body lotion with 10% AHA (aka, Alpha hydroxy Acid). I never saw results with these two like I did with this baby.

This literally gave me results the next day. My skin felt smoother, softer and most importantly my bumps were less noticeable. Now I consider this a multi purpose product, meaning it does more than one thing. This product also targets rough/dry skin (as advertised) like the one on you’re elbows and knees. Put this on you’re feet and put on you’re socks just watch and see the next day you’re feet will be so smooth no more dry/flakey feet and forget about those foot masks which I’ve tried not worth the money. What I also love about this body cream is it has AHA (Alpha hydroxy acid), BHA (Beta hydroxy Acid) and PHA (Polyhydroxy Acid) exfoliants.

Alpha Hydroxy Acid: works to dissolve the skin’s cells by encouraging shedding and new skin cell production. *

Example of an AHA: glycolic Acid and lactic acid.

Beta Hydroxy Acid: works to exfoliate dead skin cells and is perfect for oily skin.*

Example of an BHA: Salicylic Acid

Polyhydroxy Acids (PHA) are a special type of AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) that strengthen skins barrier function and help fight the signs of aging without irritation.*

Example of an PHA: Lacticbionic Acid and Gluconolactone.

The beauty of these three types of acid is they help with anti-aging. We are always focused on our face that we forget that our body also shows the signs of aging. So, what a great all around product.

Important note: because this product has acid in it ( which can make the skin sensitive to the sun) SPF is highly recommended.

How I would recommend to use this product:

  1. Winter time is the best time to use it because you’re not exposing the skin to the sun and this is the season our skin gets dry.
  2. After you shower/bathe this is the best time to moisturize you’re skin because the skin absorbs the moisturizer better.
  3. can be used on certain areas of the body like, elbows, knees and feet only (if you wish to use it year round).
  4. Do not use this after you shave it will burn (remember when you shave you are not just removing hair, you’re also exfoliating you’re skin).
  5. To keep seeing results you have to be consistent with this product. It is not a one time thing (result is definitely instant) It’s not a daily use product in my opinion I use it two/three times a week.

The Gold Bond moisturizer can be found in all major brand pharmacies/stores in the U.S (Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS, Walmart, Kmart, Target and Bed Bath and beyond). I bought mine at bed bath and beyond $9.99 I payed $7.99 I used the stores 20% coupon.

I hope this blog post was interesting and informative. I really do hope you try this moisturizer and let me know what you’re thoughts are and if you did please comment and tell me if you liked it or not.

This is 100% my opinion and experience on this product. Some information (resources) with (*) symbol were obtained from google and Sunday Riley instagram page. The rest is all my opinion. The picture was taken by me.
